La Playa

This is the beach patrol ... we call him "meathanger!"

Although not seen lately, we do believe that the tan lines have improved.

... take the Dan Ryan to the Skyway to I-94. Enjoy the ride through Indiana. Notice how beautiful Gary looks this time of year. After about an hour, you will be in Michigan. Take Exit 6 for Union Pier. Take Union Pier road into town. Find out where Lake Shore Road and Berrien Streets are. You are there! If you bring bottle rockets, you can shoot them at A-Frame's house.

We normally don't give out awards but once we got to know him "better" it was unanimous ...

"Meathanger, all right!"

Low-Fi Magazine was there.

"The reportage continues ... "

"The First International Union Pier Peace Conference was a very nice trip!" said George after the final Dive for Peace closed the conference with a splash on Monday. "I went swimming without getting wet!"

"Yes, it was unequivocally a complete success, surpassing even the optimistic expectations of the organizers" said Vyto B, he too bobbing in and out of the water for the sake of peace. Gorbachev was not around.

THE CALDERFOOT STONE

The Calderfoot Stone has officially been dedicated and it has become a permanent part of the Simon Calderfoot Aquatic Park and Marine Preservation Area.  As you may remember, the latest Simon Calderfoot work (seen here on the left), in the form of a sculpture, was also previewed over the weekend and greeted with curiosity and charm. Parts of the work were still in consumable stages when the sculpture had to be unceremoniously destroyed.

In a parting comment, the art critic observing the work mused ever so quietly,
"It's all good!"
